Caring for your child in Florida when you can’t

by Amelia E. Pohl, a Florida Attorney

It doesn’t happen very often, but sometimes both parents are unable to care for their minor because of illness or death. Florida statute gives parents the right to appoint someone as Preneed Guardian. Should a guardian need to be appointed for a child, then the court will give priority to the person chosen by the parents. This book explains how to make that Preneed Appointment. The book also contains simple, practical and inexpensive ways to arrange your finances so that there are sufficient monies to raise your child to adulthood. More importantly, it contains suggestions about how to make sure that the money you leave is actually used to care for your child.

This is a "how to" book containing a Preneed Appointment of Guardian form ready to complete. The book contains a complete explanation about how to prepare the form and then file it with the court. Unlike other "how to" books, this one does so in an interesting manner by following the example of Stanley and Carol and how they go about appointing a Preneed Guardians for their children.

THE GUIDE BOOK explains

* WHAT a PRENEED GUARDIAN is.

* HOW to appoint a Preneed Guardian.

* WHAT happens should a guardian need

to be appointed for your child.
